The question of whether Angel's & demons really exist and a personal desire to know who God really is, has always driven and challenged my beliefs to search for the greater answers in life. The Chronicles of Malachai are a result of some of this soul searching. Delving into the subject of our own spirituality and spiritual warfare this series draws upon my own personal experiences, set through the story of Malachai and his journey to understand why trusting in God is ultimately worth the risk.
THE GIFT
Book One in The Chronciles of Malachai Series
In the spiritual war raging all around humanity, with angels on one side and demons on the other, most people are not even aware of the battles they are really fighting. But what happens to those who can see the war raging and understand how these spirits influence humanity itself? Whose side do they choose? God’s way or the demon’s way? People pretend the war doesn’t even exist. For Malachai, choosing the side that could teach him the truth about what he saw and experienced would prove to be the toughest challenge of all and will ultimately change the course of the war itself.
THE PURPOSE
Book Two in The Chronicles of Malachai Series
As a child Malachai experienced a very extraordinary world which surrounded him and revealed the spiritual war between the angels and demons that influenced everyone he saw. Now as a young man he is beginning to realize just how intense this war truly is and must choose which side he will fight for.
“The Purpose” is the second book in this series by Daniel L. Sweetnam which continues the journey of Malachai, who was given a Gift by God to see the spiritual world that co-exists alongside our own. However, having this gift and choosing what to do with it proves to be a bigger struggle than Malachai expected. The angels want to help him; the demons want to destroy him; but the choice of who to trust still remains his own. Nevertheless, Malachai soon discovers there’s yet another choice he needs to make which has an even greater purpose and will establish his position within the spiritual war itself.
THE AWAKENING
Book Three in The Chronicles of Malachai Series
To some the subject of Spiritual Warfare is merely a creative collection of stories from the imaginative mind or what makes the warm glow of a campfire more memorable. To others it’s a reality of the life they live, breath, experience and endure every day. For Malachai, the spiritual war is what he was created to fight in, yet now finds himself struggling with what to believe and even wanting to be a part of this war any longer. The cost just seems too great.
Book three in, ‘The Chronicles of Malachai’ series called,
‘The Awakening’ continues Malachai’s journey as he discovers more about his gift to see the angels, demons and spiritual beings that exist around him while learning his purpose for being given this ability in the first place. Now as his dreams for a family of his own begins, his desire to forget and leave the war for an ordinary life grows. However, he quickly learns that there are those who need him to fight; they need him to remember why he was given his gifts and what he is to use them for. Malachai must decide if standing for God in a battle which is far greater than he understands, is worth the risk of losing those he cares about; or to simply concede, fade away and live for his own purposes.
The choice is his.

Author Bio
As a youth worker of many years, Daniel Sweetnam has taught and encouraged thousands of youth and young adults to be passionate about what they believe in and to never give up on fulfilling their dreams.
After creating several successful businesses, teaching and creating youth programs in churches and communities; Daniel was inspired by his loving wife Daphne, and the encouragement of his two sons, Josiah and Samuel, to fulfill his first passion and dream, namely writing.
While living throughout British Columbia, Daniel has experienced many spiritual events himself, leading him to a deeper understanding of God and ultimately encouraging him to write The Chronicles of Malachai Series.
